Jon Bunker is an International Advisor for Optum in the UK and previously served as the Optum Mountain West Regional President. He has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
Jon previously served as the Chief Executive Officer during the transition to UnitedHealthcare from Sierra Health Services, where he held the positions of President and Chief Operating Officer from 2000 to 2008. He was President of the Western region for Sierra Health Services, Inc. subsidiaries from 1996 to 2000, which included Health Plan of Nevada, Sierra Health and Life, Med One, Primary Health Holdings Inc., M.E.G.A Inc, and Elias Grahem, Ltd.
A native of Nevada, Jon has served his community in many capacities over the years. He was Chairman of the Boy Scout Chemeguevi District from 2006 to 2009, a board member of the Boys and Girls Club, and a Trustee of Sierra Community Healthcare Foundation.
