Appointments & Getting Started

The Just One Project provides food assistance, case management, educational programs, and community support services throughout Southern Nevada. Below are answers to some of the most common questions about our programs, locations, eligibility, and how to access services.

The Just One Project serves several communities in Southern Nevada that don’t have reliable access to the food needed to live a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle.

Also known as food deserts, these communities benefit from our programs that provide free or low-cost groceries and help connect individuals to supportive services.

Some services require appointments, while others operate on scheduled market dates or community events. Please contact TJOP before visiting to determine the requirements for the service you need.

Eligibility & Resources

Eligibility may vary based on specific programs and funding, but generally, anyone in need of assistance can receive food. We encourage you to contact us directly for more details on eligibility requirements.

Many of our programs do not have requirements.

Depending on specific services or programs, you may be asked to bring certain documents, but we will let you know what those are prior to your appointment.

Program availability and frequency vary by service.  Clients may visit the No-Cost Community Market once per month, but when paired with our other food assistance programs, you may also receive additional groceries.

Yes, we offer a range of social services, including housing assistance, employment readiness, and connections to additional services. Our case managers work with clients to identify needs and connect them with appropriate resources.

Food Assistance & Community Markets

The Just One Project offers several food access programs throughout Southern Nevada, including Community Markets, Pop Up & Give Mobile Markets, the TJOP Food as Medicine Farmers Market, grocery delivery for qualifying individuals, and other community-based food support services.

Food distribution locations, schedules, and program availability may vary by day, site, and eligibility requirements. The Just One Project’s No-Cost Community Market offers fresh produce, pantry staples, dairy, proteins, and other grocery items in a welcoming, market-style environment. Rather than receiving pre-packed food boxes, clients can select the items that best meet the needs and preferences of their household.

The market is designed to increase access to nutritious food while providing a dignified shopping experience for individuals and families facing food insecurity. Availability of items may vary based on donations and seasonal inventory.

The Pop Up & Give Mobile Market brings fresh groceries and essential food items directly into neighborhoods throughout Southern Nevada, making healthy food more accessible to individuals and families where they live.

Hosted at community locations on a rotating schedule, the mobile market helps reduce transportation barriers while expanding access to nutritious food. Market dates and locations are updated regularly to serve communities across the Las Vegas Valley.

The Food as Medicine Farmers Market provides access to fresh fruits, vegetables, and other healthy foods while promoting nutrition education and community involvement. Conveniently located at The Just One Project headquarters, the market serves neighborhoods with limited access to fresh produce and supports healthier food choices for local families.

The Farmers Market is part of TJOP’s commitment to improving food access and creating opportunities for the community to connect around healthy living and wellness.

Case Management & Social Services

The Just One Project’s Case Management Services provide individualized support to help clients identify goals, overcome barriers, and connect with resources such as food assistance, housing navigation, workforce services, and public benefits.

Yes. Youth Case Management provides one-on-one support for young people ages 15–24, including education guidance, employment preparation, life skills, and individualized goal planning.

TJOP offers educational opportunities including financial literacy classes, life skills workshops, workforce readiness support, and other programs designed to promote long-term stability.

TJOP offers housing navigation and stability support through its Community Connect Program and can connect clients with community resources based on their individual needs.

Volunteering & Community Support

The Just One Project offers volunteer opportunities for individuals, families, businesses, schools, and community groups throughout the year. Volunteers support a variety of programs, including Community Markets, Pop Up & Give Mobile Markets, food sorting and packing, special events, administrative projects, and other community initiatives.
