Addressing the Growing Homelessness Crisis in Southern Nevada

How The Just One Project is Making a Difference

At The Just One Project, we are committed to addressing the growing homelessness crisis in Las Vegas. In 2024, the number of unhoused individuals in Clark County rose by 20%, with over 7,900 people experiencing homelessness, and 60% of them remaining unsheltered (ref. Help Hope Home). Rising housing costs, increased rent, and financial instability continue to drive these numbers, making access to affordable housing and support services more critical than ever.

Our Housing Assistance Program: More Than Just Relief

At The Just One Project, our Housing Assistance Program is designed to provide immediate support while also addressing the underlying causes of housing insecurity. We offer rental assistance, housing referrals, and dedicated case management to ensure that families and individuals receive the help they need to regain stability. Through our program, we provide financial assistance, mediation with landlords, and access to job training programs.

Additionally, we go beyond immediate relief by offering workshops on financial literacy, empowering participants to manage their finances and build a stronger future. Our goal is to not only keep people housed but to give them the tools and skills needed for long-term stability.

Specialized Support for Vulnerable Populations

We also offer specialized assistance through our HOPWA Program (Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS), which provides rental and utility assistance to individuals living with HIV/AIDS. This targeted program ensures that vulnerable populations receive the critical housing support they need while connecting them with wraparound servicesthat address their overall well-being.

Making a Lasting Impact

As homelessness continues to rise in Las Vegas, The Just One Project remains dedicated to providing sustainable solutions for those at risk of losing their homes. Our comprehensive housing programs address the root causes of homelessness and empower participants to take control of their future. By offering a combination of immediate housing support, financial education, and access to resources, we are helping to break the cycle of homelessness in our community.

At The Just One Project, we believe that everyone deserves the chance to live in a safe, secure home. Learn more about our Housing Assistance Program and how we’re working to create lasting change in Southern Nevada by visiting our website today.
