About This Program
The No-Cost Community Market provides clients with monthly appointments with access to fresh produce, pantry staples, household essentials, wraparound services, and resource navigation.
By providing a dignified shopping experience, we ensure that our clients have access to fresh produce, pantry staples, and other essentials without the financial burden.
When clients shop with us, they save up to $250 per visit (depending on household size). With those savings, they can better allocate income towards top expenses that make it difficult to purchase food every month, such as housing costs, utilities, phone bills, transportation, medical bills, prescription costs, school expenses, and adult care, according to Nevada Department of Health & Human Services’ Food Security Strategic Plan (2023).
Who We Serve
We strive to help people that have resorted to cutting back on quality and/or quality of groceries or skipping meals altogether.
We ask that clients make an appointment ahead of time.
Where We Serve
Our programs target food deserts, which are areas with limited or no access to affordable grocery options.
To shop at our CCSD locations, you must have a student currently enrolled in CCSD and can only use the location corresponding to their enrollment. However, our Family Support Center is open to all families with a student enrolled in any school.

Community Impact
Access to no-cost groceries alleviates financial pressure, allowing clients to allocate their limited resources to other essential needs like housing, healthcare, and education.
Visiting the pantry can provide social interaction and a sense of community, which is beneficial for emotional and mental well-being.
Clients can choose the foods they want and need, preserving their sense of dignity and control over their own dietary choices. This method fosters independence, self-respect, and overall well-being, enhancing quality of life.
