On April 22, 2025, the City of North Las Vegas officially opened the Dolores Huerta Resource Center (DHRC)—a bold step forward in addressing community needs through equity, access, and connection. The Just One Project is proud to operate this vital space, helping neighbors build a more stable future through comprehensive wraparound services and collaborative support.

Named in honor of one of the most influential labor activists of the 20th century, Dolores Huerta, the center stands as a tribute to her legacy of empowerment, action, and inclusion. With services offered in both English and Spanish, the DHRC is expected to serve over 2,000 residents annually.
A One-Stop Hub for Stability and Growth
Located in North Las Vegas, the DHRC is more than just a building—it’s a collaborative space where residents can access life-changing resources under one roof. With support from $1.6 million in federal Community Project Funding—secured by U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto as part of the bipartisan government funding legislation for Fiscal Year 2024—and the collaboration of several dedicated nonprofit partners, this center represents what’s possible when we work together.
The DHRC is built on six core pillars:
- Education: GED and college prep, tutoring, and language classes
- Health: Physical and mental health services, including screenings and counseling
- Legal Support: Free workshops on housing rights, immigration, labor, and civil rights
- Workforce Development: Job training and career-building tools
- Technology: Digital literacy courses and access to tech training
- Arts & Culture: Events and experiences that celebrate heritage and creativity
As Wilson Ramos, Director of Community Services and Engagement, shared at the launch:
“By bringing critical resources under one roof, we’re breaking down barriers and creating pathways for North Las Vegas families to thrive.”
The Power of Partnership
The Just One Project is honored to lead operations at the DHRC, where our team is delivering client-centered support through food distribution, housing navigation, benefits assistance, and social services. This is a space where needs are met with dignity, and where solutions are created in real-time—through listening, collaboration, and care.
Our presence here is a reflection of our mission: to increase access to food, resources, and supportive services to build a stronger, healthier, and more connected community.
A Message from the Mayor
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, North Las Vegas Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown expressed the heart of this initiative:
“It’s more than a building—it’s a vital resource for our community, one that will continue the legacy of empowerment and inclusion championed by its namesake, Dolores Huerta.”
We couldn’t agree more.
