Food Rescue Alliance

Reducing food waste on the Las Vegas Strip, this program recovers food that would otherwise go to waste. Our team then serves ready-to-eat meals directly to our clients and receiving partners who join us to help combat food insecurity.

About This Program

The Food Rescue Alliance is an innovative program designed to reduce food waste on the Las Vegas Strip. This partnership with The Venetian Las Vegas focuses on creating access to quality, nutritious meals for those who face food insecurity in our community.

How It Works

The excess of fully cooked food prepared by a world class culinary team at the Venetian is safely packed and transported to the Food Rescue Alliance Kitchen at The Just One Project Headquarters.

Volunteers separate the food into family-sized servings to be distributed to our clients, as well as several community partners.

This entire process happens typically within 24 hours to ensure the highest quality and safety of the meals.

Join the Food Rescue Alliance

If you are a restaurant, food distribution company, grocery store, food supplier, food producer, manufacturer, packaged food company, or food brand we invite you to become a vital part of The Just One Project’s Food Rescue Alliance. Together, we can make a real impact by putting our community’s resources to good use, instead of letting them go to waste. Be part of the mission to reduce food waste and nourish those in need.

Every day, thousands of pounds of perfectly good food go uneaten. Meanwhile, families across Southern Nevada face food insecurity. Your surplus food, whether it’s prepared meals, pantry items, or fresh produce, can be redirected to help feed those who need it most.

While the Food Rescue Alliance prioritizes healthy, nutritious food rescue, we gladly accept snacks and sweet treats as well, because moments of comfort and joy matter, too. A simple snack or dessert can bring a smile, boost morale, and create a sense of normalcy for someone facing hard times.

By donating your unused food items, you’re not only supporting your community, you’re also helping protect the environment, reduce landfill waste, and promote sustainability. Whether it’s a one-time donation or an ongoing partnership, your contribution makes a difference.

Let’s work together to turn excess into access.
