What Is Serve It Forward?
Serve It Forward is a September campaign inviting
restaurants, bars, and cafes to feature a special item or
promotion where proceeds support The Just One Project’s
mission of increasing access to food, services, and resources
to help our local neighbors achieve long-term stability.
Participation is designed to be flexible and effortless. Whether
you choose a featured cocktail, appetizer, entrée, round-up
campaign, or limited-time menu item, we’ll customize the
experience to fit each venue. No prix fixe menus, no disruption
to any current promotions – just an easy way to give back
while engaging your guests in a meaningful cause.
Why This Matters
The Just One Project believes food is the first step—not the finish line. Through our systems based model, Food For All and Community Connect work together to provide immediate access to nutritious food while connecting individuals and families with the resources and support needed to achieve lasting self-sufficiency. With 90% of every dollar raised through Serve It Forward invested directly back into our programs, your participation creates meaningful, measurable change for our hungry neighbors.
How Your Venue Can Participate
- Featured cocktail or beverage
- Featured Appetizer
- Kitchen Contributes a Dish
- Round-up at the register
- Serve it Forward Menu Item Offered for a Limited Time
- Percentage of Sales
- "$1 per pour" nights or similar bar-specific activation
- Add a clearly labeled additional donation line with TJOP logo on the check
