A grocery distribution needs food, but it also needs storage, transportation, staff, volunteers, equipment, and a place to serve people. A home delivery begins long before groceries arrive at someone’s door. Rescued food from a Las Vegas resort must be collected, transported, portioned, and distributed while it is still fresh. A family working toward greater stability may need months of individualized case management rather than one transaction.

Giving Helps Keep Food Moving
Through Food For All, we operate several programs because food access does not look the same for every person. Some clients shop at our No-Cost Community Markets. Pop Up & Give brings groceries into neighborhoods with limited food access. Home Delivery reaches clients who cannot easily travel to a market. Meals on Wheels delivers prepared meals to older adults and people with limited mobility. Our Food Rescue Alliance redirects wholesome surplus food into the community instead of allowing it to go to waste.
Each model solves a different access problem.
Donations help make the logistics behind those programs possible. Food has to move from where it is available to where it is needed, and that requires an operating system that works consistently.
Our 2026 Mid-Year Impact Report offers a snapshot of what that looks like at scale. During the first six months of the year, our No-Cost Community Markets distributed more than 2 million pounds of groceries. Pop Up & Give distributed another 679,084 pounds. Our teams delivered 124,867 prepared meals to seniors and 472,944 pounds of groceries to homebound clients.
Those figures represent food received by people in our community. They also represent thousands of individual steps required to get it there.
Sometimes Food Is the Beginning of the Story
We have learned through our work that food insecurity often exists alongside other challenges.
That is why The Just One Project is built around both Food For All and Community Connect.
Food assistance can create immediate breathing room. Community Connect gives clients an opportunity to work on what comes next through individualized social services designed around their circumstances.
Our Community Connect programs include case management, housing assistance, and workforce development. The goal is not to prescribe the same path for everyone. It is to help each client identify barriers, access appropriate support, and move toward greater stability and self-sufficiency.
During the first half of 2026, 1,294 households received individualized, client-centered case management. Our housing programs helped 137 households retain their housing through timely intervention, placed 109 households into permanent supportive housing, and rapidly transitioned 56 households from homelessness into safe, permanent housing.
Those outcomes help explain why we think about donation impact broadly.
A gift may support the food that gets someone through this week. It also helps sustain an organization built to help that person take the next step when they are ready.
The Most Visible Part of a Program Is Rarely the Whole Program
When people see one of our markets, they naturally see the groceries.
We see the warehouse that stored them, the vehicle that transported them, the team that coordinated the distribution, and the volunteers who helped move everything into place.
The same principle applies throughout our organization.
Operational costs do not always photograph well, but they are part of what makes reliable service possible. Transportation gets food into neighborhoods. Procurement helps us maintain supply. Staff coordinate programs and work directly with clients. Facilities allow us to store and prepare resources safely.

One Gift Joins Many Others
Nonprofit impact is rarely the result of one donor funding one outcome.
It is cumulative.
A monthly donor contributes dependable support over time. A company may sponsor a program while employees volunteer alongside us. Another supporter may have an employer that matches charitable contributions. Someone else may organize a fundraiser or include TJOP in long-term giving plans.
Those contributions come together with volunteers, food donors, community partners, grants, and the work of our staff.
That shared investment gives us capacity.
During the first half of 2026 alone, 5,053 volunteers contributed 24,506 hours of service to our work. The Food Rescue Alliance recovered 199,360 pounds of food from Las Vegas Strip partners and distributed 166,133 meals to the community.
A financial gift does not operate separately from those resources. It helps support the structure that allows all of them to work together.

Financial support can take many forms, and we do not expect everyone to participate in the same way.
