What People Ask Most About The Just One Project

Understanding Our Programs, Services, and How to Get Started

Whether you’re looking for food assistance, interested in volunteering for The Just One Project, or simply trying to understand what The Just One Project offers, we know finding the right information can sometimes feel overwhelming.

Over the years, we’ve noticed many people ask the same questions—and for good reason. As our programs continue to grow, so do the ways we serve our community.

Here are answers to some of the questions we hear most often.

“What does The Just One Project actually do?”

Many people first discover The Just One Project while searching for food assistance, but our work extends well beyond providing groceries.

Our mission is to increase access to food, resources, and social services that help individuals and families build greater stability. Alongside food assistance programs, we offer case management, youth services, financial literacy classes, workforce connections, community events, volunteer opportunities, and partnerships that strengthen Southern Nevada.

“How can I receive food assistance?”

The Just One Project offers several ways to access nutritious food depending on your needs and location.

Programs include our No-Cost Community Market, Pop Up & Give Mobile Markets, the TJOP Farmers Market, grocery delivery for qualifying individuals, and additional community food initiatives throughout Southern Nevada.

Each program is designed to make healthy food more accessible while preserving dignity and choice.

“Do I need an appointment?”

Some TJOP services require appointments, while others are available through scheduled market dates or community events.

If you’re unsure where to begin, simply contact The Just One Project team. We’ll help identify the program that best fits your needs and explain any appointment or eligibility requirements.

“What is Case Management?”

Food assistance often solves an immediate need, but lasting stability frequently requires additional support.

TJOP’s Case Management Services provide one-on-one guidance to help clients connect with housing resources, employment services, public benefits, food assistance, and other community resources. Every plan is personalized based on individual goals and circumstances.

“Do you have services for young adults?”

Yes.

Our Youth Case Management program serves young people ages 15–24 by providing individualized support focused on education, employment preparation, life skills, and goal planning.

The program is designed to help young adults navigate challenges while building confidence and independence.

“How can I get involved?”

Community support is what makes our work possible.

Individuals can volunteer at food distributions and community events, while businesses and organizations can partner with TJOP through sponsorships, service projects, food drives, and fundraising initiatives.

Every contribution—whether it’s time, resources, or financial support—helps strengthen our community.

“Where can I learn more?”

The Just One Project continues to expand programs and services throughout Southern Nevada.

The easiest way to stay informed is by exploring our website, reviewing our Frequently Asked Questions, or subscribing to receive updates about programs, events, educational opportunities, and volunteer initiatives.
