Why Continued Support Matters More Than Ever

At The Just One Project, our mission goes beyond food—we provide wraparound support to help families across Southern Nevada build long-term stability. Through our community markets, homebound grocery delivery, case management, and benefits navigation, we serve thousands of neighbors each month with compassion and care.

But the road ahead is uncertain.

Last month, our Director of Social Services, Kirsten Carl, participated in a nonprofit roundtable hosted by U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto and United Way of Southern Nevada. Alongside other community leaders, Kirsten shared how federal funding uncertainties are creating new challenges for nonprofits—and putting essential services at risk for the families who rely on them.

We’re incredibly grateful for advocates like Senator Cortez Masto, who are using their platforms to fight for continued access to food, housing assistance, legal aid, and education. Her support reminds us of the power of collaboration—and the critical role elected officials and nonprofits play in sustaining strong communities.

But advocacy alone isn’t enough.

With public funding becoming less predictable, we’re turning more than ever to the power of you—individuals, families, and businesses who choose to give. Your continued support helps us remain responsive, consistent, and effective during uncertain times.

Here’s how your donation makes a difference:

When systems falter, communities rise.

Be part of the reason our programs stay strong. Be part of something bigger.
